Pimp My Moleskine!
1. I started by cutting pieces of felt into different shapes.
Has anyone ever pimped the covers of their sketchbooks, notebooks, planners, etc.? I'd love to see your finished products!

Homemade Goodness
Hello, how was everyone's holidays? Just thought I'd share some of the stuff I made over the holiday break. my hands get really fidgety when I sit around for too long with nothing to do. So here we go....
The first is a pair of gold earrings with semi-precious gemstones. I've been really loving long dangly earrings lately. There is something so beautiful and feminine about pink, jade green, and sea foam green paired with thin gold hardware.

The second thing I made was a Christmas card. I love homemade cards! I'm not very good at thinking about what to write in cards, so I make cards to substitute for my lack of creativity in the verbiage department. The cover has a snowflake and the inside is a pop up Christmas tree.

They Effed Up Strawberry Shortcake

I was watching the cartoon network with my nephew, and obviously they show ads for toys. I don't watch TV often, so I'm a little behind on the times, but a commercial came on TV for the Strawberry Shortcake doll, which looks completely different than the Strawberry Shortcake doll I grew up with. By different, I mean skinnier and less cute. The Strawberry Shortcake I knew was plumper; it was what made her so cute. Apparently the new owners of the brand thought it was a good idea to make her more "relevant" by giving her a cellphone. Seriously, how many little girls that play with dolls do you know have a cellphone? Don't mess with a good thing people. Take a note from the producers of The Simpsons. When was the last time you saw Maggie Simpson without her pacifier? Maggie Simpson defies the test of time and Strawberry Shortcake should too!

Benefit and Gray?
I want gray nail polish. It's not as harsh as black but dark enough to look edgy.
I tried this a year ago and I didn't like it very much because it didn't look pink enough. I tried a sample from Ulta recently and I love it! The only thing is, I have to put on two
I ran out of mascara so I went to Sephora to grab my usual Dior, but the girl there told me to try Benefit Bad Gal Lash because it's not as thick as Dior and it was ranked number one in a national mascara line up (who knew there was a nation mascara line up?) Anyway, I really love this mascara! It doesn't clump or smear and keeps my lash curl. Just perfect.Have anyone tried any of these products? If so, please let me know, because I'm really interested in how it works for you.

Just Thought I'd Share
I was at Ulta today and they had a deal on Bloom Cosmetics. If you buy ANY product from Bloom, you get a free Bloom concealer. This is a $17 dollar value, and this isn't some cheapo concealer. I tried it in Ulta, and it's the creamiest cover-up I've ever used. I like Bloom a lot, I have their Smokey eyes trio, and I love it. It's about the only palette I ever use. I believe this deal applies to purchases made in Ulta stores and I don't know how long it will last, but it's a great deal.

Rings From Bijougirldesigns
I got these two rings from Bijougirldesigns by Amanda Conley about two weeks ago, and they have not left my finger since. They're both hand made of sterling silver. The bird ring is a good size; the bird is about 1.5 cm wide and .5 cm in length and obviously, the actual ring size depends on how big your finger is. I love this ring, it's very girly and just really well designed.
However, my favorite is the leaf ring. It is very dainty and feminine. The three dots are made of 14k gold... fancy... the width from the end of the leaf to the last dot is 1.5 cm, and the length of the leaf is 3mm while the length of the ring itself is 2 mm. This ring is also offered in white gold.

I like to wear them stacked like this...
but you can also wear it with her 3 dots ring, which I didn't get.
Amanda was so prompt about making them and sending them to me and her packaging is just so cute.
I also really like this necklace... so pretty! loves...
and also this little leaf bangle.
I really like all her designs and I know they're a little pricey, but if you're looking for beautiful high quality jewelry, you should definitely check her out.
